24 hours away

There's a palpable energy and excitement surrounding the days and hours leading up to the AP reading. My friends, those who I have met at previous readings, feel it too. Now understand, we're about to spend 8+ hours a day in a chilly conference center reading statistics exam answers. Thousands of student answers. Serious answers. Excelent answers. Poor answers. Funny answers. And blank tests... (you know you're really tired when you get a little bit excited over the blank tests).

This year Hopewell Valley had 57 students take the AP Statistics exam. That's a tiny crumb of the 120,000+ exams we'll grade. 6 open-ended question on each test.

The job starts Saturday morning. It ends next Friday sometime. I'm excited...crazy, but true.

Stay tuned here for stories every day. My flight leaves at 6pm Friday night....
